The Niagara Frontier Ski Council is an
organization composed of the members of the ski racing teams and
families from five New York ski areas and one Pennsylvania
area. NFSC is responsible for scheduling races at the JIV, V
and VI level (up through and including age 12), although it has
additional responsibilities and activities which extend beyond this
level. These include high school racing and dry land
training. NFSC also administers the highly successful color team program
for
its JIV, V and VI racers, where each council racer is assigned to a
color team with athletes from different ski areas. The color teams
compete against one another for the overall team prize and bragging
rights which are awarded at the last regularly scheduled council race.
Participating ski areas include Buffalo Ski Club, Holiday Valley,
Holimont, Kissing Bridge, Peek n' Peak, and Ski Denton.
